Signs Your Child Might Need an Early Smile Checkup
It’s always a good idea to bring your child in if you notice any of the following:
- Losing Baby Teeth: Either very early or very late.
- Mouth Breathing: Or difficulty chewing and biting.
- Thumb Sucking: If the habit continues after age five.
- Crowding: Especially if the front teeth look a little squished around age seven.
- Bite Issues: Like an underbite, crossbite, or teeth that don't meet at all.

Olsen Orthodontics is amazing!! I was wowed from the time I entered the building at the aesthetics and even more pleased with the friendly atmosphere.The staff are top tier; very engaging and welcoming. Raven and Makenzie started us off with photos and X-rays and then Dawn took us the rest of the way.Dr. Gordon was so personable and engaged both my 17 yo and me in conversation about things that mattered to us. Customer service was AMAZING!!I was shocked that we were able to do same day service. My daughter walked in for a consult and walked out with braces! I can't remember the young lady who put my daughter's braces on, but she was so down to earth and her work was precise.I also love that they support local organizations like our food bank and animal shelters from donations by patients and we receive a discount off of our services up to $1000 when we donate.We honestly felt like we'd been going there for years because of the way we were treated. Definitely recommend!!
My retainer split and they worked me in quickly in the Southern Pines office. The front staff is so friendly! And, a special shout out to Brittany (hope I'm spelling right) for going above and beyond for me!She is the best!!! I have loved everyone at the practice, but she just stands out (which is difficult to do with so many wonderful people there.) I recommend Olsen Orthodontics 100%!

Not necessarily! Most kids we see at age seven join our free Growth Guidance program. We’ll just see them once or twice a year to monitor their development with precision. If and when they are ready for a customized plan, we'll let you know!
